BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Southern running back Lenard Tillery, Jackson State defensive end/linebacker Javancy Jones, and Alcorn State linebacker Darien Anderson each earned third-team selections to the STATS FCS All-America team.

The announcement was made earlier today. This marks multiple All-America selections for each player, all of whom also garnered a first-team All-SWAC choice at their respective positions, with Jones taking first team all-league honors at defensive end and second team honors at linebacker.

Tilley rushed for a league-leading 1,665 yards and 13 scores on his way to becoming the all-time leading rusher in SWAC history. His yardage total was third nationally, and he led the conference in rushing by more than 400 yards.

Anderson tied for fourth in the country in sacks with 11, and averaged one quarterback takedown per game. The SWAC’s leader in sacks, Anderson ended his year with 91 stops (18 for loss), three passes defended and two fumble recoveries.

Jones posted 82 tackles  and four sacks with 19.5 tackles for loss. The latter figure was second in the conference.
