RECHARGE 2018 WITH CHERE GOODE BY PHINESSE DEMPS

Since my time as writer with the Baltimore Times, I made sure that as publication that caters to the African-American community, I made sure that we were a part of Chere’s careful and thoughtful day of education about health, fitness, and nutrition. Since my Stoke in 2015, it has become a number one priority to make sure that we as a community are educated and take serious our Health. It my pleasure, as the Owner and Publisher of Indie Soul Magazine, to continue supporting Chere and her endeavors. We are excited and proud to be back for another Let’s Get Serious Health Expo

going into year number eight and now is the RECHARGE EXPO. What keeps Chere hosting this event year after year and what challenges have she encountered?

According to Chere “Nothing great comes without challenges. We have encountered a host of things that could have hindered our continued mission like unexpected date changes which affected our attendance last year, cancellations, and even venue issues. Despite all these challenges the mission is bigger than the disappointments and struggles. This Expo is not just business, it’s personal to me. I started this expo in dedication to my late father David Swann who passed in 2009 from a massive heart attack in his sleep at the young age of 59. For the past 8 years I have been determined to educate and motivate the world to RECHARGE to avoid health occurrences, so If I am having an impact on just one life by way of this expo, my job is done.”

So what does Recharge mean? “RECHARGE means to rejuvenate, reboot, refresh, & re-energize your health through self care. This year we are even Recharging our expo with some excited additions”,states Goode.
