NORFOLK, Va.— Delaware State sophomore NaJai Pollard was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Howard’s Imani Bryant was named the Rookie of the Week.
Pollard (F, 5-11, So., Richmond, Va.) averaged a double-double of 28.0 points and 11.0 rebounds against Longwood and Virginia Tech. She shot 67-percent (23-for-33) from the field during the two games. Also, she finished with 32 points, 11 boards, one assist and one steal in 40 minutes against Longwood.
Bryant (F, 6-1, Fr., Berkeley, Calif.) shot 57-percent (4-for-7) from the floor to record nine points, a team-leading seven rebounds, four steals, two blocks and one steal in a 64-57 win over Vermont. Four of her seven boards came on the offensive glass.

Khalilah Ali (NSU) finished with eight rebounds, six points, one block and one assist, against Towson.
Erin Blaine (HOW) registered 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 64-57 victory over Vermont.
De’Janaire Deas (NSU) tallied a career-high seven rebounds, with four points, one assist and one block, against Towson.
Keyera Eaton (MDES) finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists, against USC Upstate.
Shakerrya Morrison (FAMU) posted a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds, with one block, in a 69-59 overtime win over Stillman.
Kiara Phillips (NSU) recorded 15 points, including four 3-pointers, four assists, three steals, one block and one rebound, against Towson.
Monnazjea Finney-Smith (HAM) totaled 32 points, 19 rebounds, three steals and one block against Florida Gulf Coast and Samford.
Adria Strothers (HAM) tallied six points on two 3-pointers, one assist and one block, against Florida Gulf Coast.
Moengaroa Subritzky (MDES) registered a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds, with one steal, against USC Upstate.
