Houston, TX. – After leading by just one at halftime, the Tigers busted it open with a 56-point second half on a blistering 54 percent shooting from the field to remain in sole possession of first place in the SWAC standings.
The Tigers also ensured themselves of a top four seed and right to host a first round playoff game.
Jalan McCloud led TSU (16-11, 12-2 SWAC) with a game-high 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting.
Demontrae Jefferson had an all-around game with 17 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Zach Lofton had 14 points and dished out seven assists.
Marcus Romain led the Delta Devils (4-24, 4-11 SWAC) with 21 points and nine rebounds and Rashaan Surles added 17 points and seven rebounds.

Lorman, Miss. – The Braves (15-11, 12-3 SWAC) pushed their conference-best winning streak to 10 straight behind another hot-shooting performance by Reginal Johnson, who scored 23 points off the bench on 11-of-17 shooting with 11 rebounds.
The Braves have clinched a top four seed and will now host a first round playoff game.
Marquis Vance contributed with 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Alcorn State grabbed a 10-point halftime advantage after shooting 51 percent from the floor and then coasted in the second half despite shooting 0-of-9 from 3-point range as a team for the half.
De’Ederick Petty scored 23 points and Rakiya Battle totaled 13 assists to lead the Bulldogs (1-24, 1-13 SWAC).
Prairie View A&M 73, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 55
Prairie View, TX – The Panthers (10-18, 7-7 SWAC) buckled down with a strong defensive performance in the second half by limiting the Golden Lions to just 22 points and forced 22 turnovers for the game.
Zachary Hamilton led with 23 points, nine rebounds and four steals, Tevin Bellinger added 23 points while Ja’Donta Blakley produced six points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals.
Deshon Bayless scored 15 points for the Golden Lions (7-21, 6-9 SWAC).
Southern 79, Alabama State 73
Baton Rouge, La. – The Jaguars moved closer toward earning the right to host a first round playoff game as Chris Thomas led with 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks for Southern (14-14, 10-5 SWAC).
Shawn Prudhomme added 18 points and Jared Sam had 16 points and seven rebounds.
Terrance LeFlore had 14 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block and Tony Armstrong had 15 points to lead the Hornets (8-19, 6-9 SWAC).
