HBCU MBB: BCU Hoops Drops 76-66 Decision To Dolphins;Maryland Eastern Shore 87, Central Penn 74 December 5, 2017

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Brandon Tabb scored a game-high 27 points in Bethune-Cookman’s 76-66 loss to Jacksonville Monday night.

Reggie Baker added 14 as the Wildcats, playing their first game in Daytona Beach since Nov. 16, dropped their sixth straight.

J.R. Holder’s 20 point led five Jacksonville (6-3) players in double figures.
The Dolphins took their biggest lead at 53-38 lead on Darrius Dawkins’ jumper with 14:38 remaining, but the Wildcats (2-7) rallied and got it back to 59-56
on Tabb’s lay-up with 7:57 left.
Jacksonville scored the next two baskets and never let the Wildcats get closer than four after that.
Bethune-Cookman hit seven of its first nine shots for early leads of 11-4 and 15-8, but Jacksonville came back and led 41-29 at halftime.

The Wildcats return to action against Florida College in the ICI Center at 2 p.m.


“It came down to we couldn’t guard anybody tonight. No matter what defense we were in, Jacksonville got in the lane.”

NOTES: This was Tabb’s sixth 20-point game of the season .. Tabb matched his season-high with 6 3FGs. So did the team with 9 … B-CU’s 29 rebounds were a season low.
