The Tigers (10-9 overall, 6-0 SWAC) will look to keep their undefeated conference record in tact after topping Arkansas-Pine Bluff in their most recent victory on Saturday.

TSU needed to rally as it trailed by three at halftime before roaring back behind conference leading scorer Zach Lofton’s 24-point barrage to go along with eight rebounds, two steals and a block.

The junior currently leads the SWAC in points per game with 17.4 per game after taking a slim lead over Southern’s Shawn Prudhomme (17.3 points per game) at the conclusion of Saturday’s action.

The Tigers have showcased the SWAC’s second best defense in terms of points allowed per game against conference opponents (63.8 points per contest).

The Delta Devils (2-17 overall, 2-4 SWAC) are led in scoring by Isaac Williams (12.6 per contest, good for 11th in the SWAC) and freshman Darrell Riley (10.2 points per game, 3.2 assists per game).

Since returning to the lineup, Marcus Romain has averaged 15.6 points per game in nine games for MVSU.

Texas Southern 7-foot center Marvin Jones has seen an uptick in minutes and production of late, scoring in double figures in six of the previous nine games and securing at least 11 rebounds in two of his previous three games.
