2016 Highlight Gospel Festival of Praise By Phinesse Demps; Visuals by Sareena Jones

We at Indie Soul Magazine have debuted in August 2016 with a soft launch where we expected to be a full scale magazine. In turns out we still are full scale but with a very strong online presence thanks to the many readers like yourself and many THANKS to our very folks who handle public relations who have called us, 410-831-5605, or emailed us, indiesoulmag@gmail.com, asking us to come and cover events or sent us exclusive request for interviews.

One of the most exciting events we covered was the 2016 Gospel Festival. The Gospel Festival of Praise featured: performances by the biggest names in the industry, from Hezekiah Walker, the singer/composer/choir leader/radio host,  and visionary founder and Senior Pastor of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle Churches in Brooklyn, and Bensalem, PA., to the electrifying Israel Houghton & New Breed, bringing the voices and sounds of music with African, Middle Eastern and South American slants, and Karen Clark Sheard, the multi-Grammy® winner and former member of the legendary female group, The Clark Sisters.  The lineup also featured Casey Janice Hobbs, “Casey J,” best known for her Number 1 hit song, “Fill Me Up,” and Regina Belle, who recorded the Grammy® winning song, “A Whole New World,” for the film, Aladdin.  Comedian “Earthquake” will served as show host.
That man Hezekiah Walker put that show together by getting all the artist to take their egos out of it and come together as ONE BAND! ONE VOICE! Like a DEE-JAY with several M.C.’s trying to rip the stage up! If you missed this year’s fest see you in the Fall of 2017!
